IMPORTANT ministry BOOKING INFORMATION The following information is provided for your convenience based upon the most asked questions we receive and our ministry preferences and what most pastors do for us. If you have any questions, please give us a call (423-895-2847).
Financial information:
We simply request a love offering be received during every service (this
provides guests, at any one of the worship services, the opportunity to
give as well) and in addition to the love offering, that our expenses for travel be reimbursed.
Regarding the offering - Just prior to each
offering, the pastor should explain to the congregation the entire
offering is being received to support the evangelistic work and ministry
of Fan the Flame Ministries and that checks should be made payable to
the church or Fan the Flame ministries. It is important the congregation understand why
they are giving and to what. It is best if the offering is received at the conclusion of the
worship service. It is understood that most conferences and
seminars are honorariums.
Important Hotel
information:
It is requested that you please book Dr. Deese and his family in Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn
or the new 4 story Comfort Suites. . After years
of traveling, he has learned these three hotels are usually the safest and cleanest places
to stay. He is willing to drive up to an hour or more for a hotel. Due to our ministry integrity commitment, Dr. Deese is unable stay in a home.
Your thoughtful consideration regarding this request is greatly
appreciated.
Travel Reimbursement information: For 2012, the current standard mileage reimbursement is 55.5 cents per mile allowed by I.R.S. here's the link:
IRS (effective January 2012). For your convenience, you will be provided a form at the time of the meeting with the mileage and amount based on the above (if your church or ministry is unable to provide this, please let the evangelist know). Example: if the round trip mileage (originating from Piney Flats, TN) is 200 miles the mileage reimbursement would be $111.00. Our ministry prefers and it seems to work much better for us to book the hotel and airline flights and let the church reimburse the ministry on the day of Dr. Deese's arrival or before (we use AAA for the best rate we can get).
Fan the Flame Ministries Budget is $3,100 per week.
